The city of Málaga was recognized by Fundación Forum Ambiental with the Sustainable City Award during the ceremony that took place on 18 January 2018 at the auditorium of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture.

The Award was given to Málaga, one of the ELVITEN project cities, in the category of ‘Quality of Air’ thanks to the implementation of an air quality monitoring system that has allowed the Municipality to measure air pollution in real time.

The Sustainable City Award is one of the most important recognitions in Spain for municipalities and local entities in the field of sustainability for their work improving the quality of life of their citizens.
