ITS World Congress 2018

This year, the ITS Congress titled “ITS – Quality of Life” will focus on putting citizens first when it comes to mobility design. The event will take place in the Danish capital of Copenhagen from 17 – 21 September 2018 and will gather ITS and mobility stakeholders from all around the world.
The Congress that is organised by ERTICO ITS, one of the ELVITEN partners, will tackle different topics, including electromobility. Special sessions on smart mobility and city planning will be organised. On Monday 17 September, the ELVITEN project will be presented by Silvia Andreussi from the city of Rome, one of the project pilot cities. The session will be chaired by the project coordinator Angelos Amditis from the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS).
ELVITEN will also enjoy this unique opportunity to present the results of the ‘Survey on Travel in Cities’ that was carried out early this year, and that collected 6753 answers on mobility attitudes from six European cities. On Tuesday 18 September, during a session dedicated to electromobility, Andrew Winder, from ERTICO, will showcase some of the findings of the research and explain how ELVITEN seeks at improving the quality of life of citizens in six cities, namely, Rome, Trikala, Berlin, Malaga, Genoa and Bari.
Besides, participants will be able to know more about ELVITEN at the Congress Exhibition Area where the project will be disseminated at the ERTICO booth (C3-025), together with other European research projects.
