WHAT IS AN EL-V?

On two, three or four wheels, electric light vehicles are quiet, cheaper to run and produce zero CO2 emissions.

How they can make
your life better

EL-Vs help you get through traffic and are easier to park. Use them for journeys where public transport doesn’t reach your destination. Take the kids to school, do your shopping, or just head off to your local park – when more people use EL-Vs, there’ll be more room for green spaces and the air will be that much cleaner.

Duferco Energia – ELVITEN’s partner and a mobility service provider

Duferco Energia is an important mobility service provider in Italian energy market and in the field of e-mobility. Within a few years, the company has become important mobility service provider. The company could provide solutions for public recharging through a network enabled for almost 9000 points in Italy and over 50,000 in Europe with about 300 charging stations for electric vehicles.

Duferco Energia is aiming to new objectives and want to expand their recharge network in Italy. It looks with great interest at new frontiers of mobility and the ELVITEN is found to be one of their interest. In ELVITEN project Duferco Energia, as one of the consortium partners, supports the demonstrations in Genoa, dissemination activities and the Regional Support Groups.

The company believes the current emergency situation due to Corona virus pandemic could increase the role of Electric mobility. “Contingency requires a reorganisation of many aspects of corporate life, including attention to the same home-work shifts as employees. Gioco Forza will increase the demand for private mobility , with the risk of returning in a short time to unsustainable levels of pollution in cities and in the most critical areas. The electric mobility can be an answer to the two requirements of the reorganization of movements and transport sustainability, whether public or private, with a look to the organization of private collective transport “ comments Francesco Merella, responsible for electric mobility services within the Sustainable Mobility Department of Duferco Energia.

ELVITEN vehicles during COVID-19

During the COVID-19 outbreak governments across the world implemented lock-down and are using any resources at their disposal to reduce the spread and bring back life to normal. During this unforeseen time, many companies and organisations are coming forward to help reduce the crisis.

Due to the lock-down, ELVITEN project demonstrations in all the cities are currently not possible. However, it is found some of the cities are using the services to help their citizens.

In Trikala, the local municipal police and local delivery companies are using the vehicles from ELVITEN project to help citizens during lock-down.

In Genoa, a vehicle rented, by a third-party company involved in the project, to a supermarket for delivery of groceries to citizens across the city while maintaining social distancing. The vehicle travelled more than 440 km and made 140 trips in two weeks’ time. A healthcare volunteer used another EL vehicle in Genoa (Renault Twizzy) to help others in need and travelled more than 71 km.

ELVITEN project offers various vehicle in 6 different demonstration cities, users can rent the vehicles for long term and short term schemes.

KYBURZ Switzerland AG is providing with three-wheeler and four-wheeler light electric vehicles in the cities of Trikala and Genoa, which are offered by a e-sharing platform for private transport and light deliveries across the city.

Hubject is offering 10 e-scooters called ZeroScooters made by the manufacturer Simple Mobility in the city of Berlin. These vehicles can be rented from the ZeroZone website and picked up at the delivery centre. ZeroScooters have a unique feature where the battery is removable and can be charged at any conventional power socket. It just takes 2 hours to charge 70% of battery.
